I’ve been spending the last couple of days thinking about what great piece of art I’m going to hang over my new fabulous sofa. I keep coming back to sailing and clipper ship paintings. I love the bit of blue and vibrancy they can add to the decor as well as they carry a certain romantic appeal.

I think the sea is so appealing as well. Even though I love it, I actually haven’t integrated it into my interior concept. So I have to decide if I will do that or not.

There’s something so classic about sailing paintings, and they can be incorporated in many different design styles. We have one in our house that was left by the previous owner. She said it “belonged” to the house. We have it in one of our guest rooms
